Districts of Rome / Jewish district - Tiberina island

 

Between the largo Argentina - one of the oldest sanctuary of Rome - and the Tiberina island, is the jewish district which keep a part of its authenticity.

It is one the left side of the Tiber, between the via delle Botteghe Oscure northward, the via Arenula westward, the Tiber southward, and the Marcellus theater and Capitoline hill eastward.

Today, it is a district where still live jewishes, with a synagog near the Tiber.
